After you've requested a course and received an email response confirming activation, you're ready to link your iTunes U course to Blackboard, upload files to your course, and more.Access iTunes U through Blackboard (recommended)

Convert multimedia files for iTunes U
Access iTunes U through Blackboard (recommended):
In order to do this you will need to create the actual iTunes U link in one of your course content areas from within Blackboard.- Click on any content area (course documents, assignments, etc) or create a new one where you want the iTunes U link to be.
- Click on “EDIT VIEW” in upper right
- Select “iTunes U Link” from the drop-down menu at top right
- Fill out the iTunes U Link information fields
Example:
Name: Go to iTunes U
Instructions: This link will open the iTunes application on your computer and take you to UTK on iTunes U. Access that area to listen, view, and download podcasts for this course.
- Make sure “Availability Dates” under the “Options” section are NOT checked.
- Click “Submit” and then “OK”
When you or your students click this link, the iTunes application will launch on their computer and will open up within your course area on iTunes U.

Access iTunes U through our Web site:
- Go to the main page of UTK on iTunes U and click on the "My UTK on iTunes U" button.
- Enter your UT netid and password. Click the "login" button. The iTunes U player will be launched (this may take a few seconds depending on your computer system).
- Your course area is located within one of major sections: Academic Programs; UT Community; Programs, Outreach, and Public Service, Libraries and Technologies; or Research. Select your department, then select your course.

Upload podcasts:
Your iTunes U course area will be created with 6 default tabs. These tabs determine who has access to your podcasts and will help you to organize them.View complete descriptions of course area tabs

Convert multimedia files for iTunes U:
To play your existing multimedia files in iTunes U, they'll need to be converted to MP4, M4V, or MOV (image and video) or MP3 (audio). If you're planning to convert the files yourself, recommended software is listed below.If you would like ITC to assist with file conversion or any other aspect of podcasting, please fill out the request form to get started.
